The Center was established in 1998 in response to the needs of the country's thriving floral industry. The 21-hectare premise in Gukeng Township, Yunlin County has one lab building, one tissue culture room, one farm machine room, six precision greenhouses, and nine isolated screen houses. The Center has flower breeding laboratory and flower environment laboratory with nine researchers and two technicians.
