The lab engages in the development of machineries for different stages of crop cultivation such as land preparation, material applying, planting, application of chemicals, harvesting, etc. The development integrates innovative use of mechatronics technology. And the targets are medium to large sized agricultural machineries, especially planting machinery and combined harvesting machinery, for large-scale cultivation resulted from the implementation of the government’s “small landlords coupled with big tenant-farmers” policy. The effort ranges from innovative conceptualization, research, development, application to extension of new localized agricultural machinery with a goal to enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan’s agricultural products.
