Description

Proper postharvest processing is important for securing product quality and assert or add economic value during storing, packaging, shipping and marketing. Postharvest processing methods vary with different crops. In general, they include the integrated functions of harvesting, cleaning, drying, debris removal, husking, peeling, grading, and cooling. Banking on enriched experience on the practical application of engineering principles and machine development, the lab strives to develop high-tech postharvest processing machinery and technology in order to support sustainable development of Taiwan’s agriculture.
