小白菜之生長受不同環境因子影響，1993年7月至1995年6月在台南本場刊用不同播種期試驗結果發現，降雨量之多寡對小白菜之產量損害成正比相關。
The growth of pak-chio is obviouly affected by the environmental factors. Experiments of the sequential planting date, conducted at the Tainan District Agicultural Improvement Station between July 1993 and June 1995, revealed that the amount of railfall is positively correlated to the yield loss of pak-chio.
