Abstract
石斛蘭盆花於臺灣地區已有數十年栽培歷史，但均未能專業規模化生產，目前國內生產之石斛蘭類盆花，品種均由國外引入，種苗成本極高且品種特性不易掌握，生育習性及開化特性多由生產者自行探索而有品種選定困難，生產品質不佳，著花數減少，開花期不穩定等諸多問題，針對目前生產所遭遇困難，蒐集國內主要栽培品種並自國外引進新品種，建立主要栽培品種之生育特性及栽培管理，花期調節等技術提供花農應用。有鑑於春石斛於未來國際市場之開發潛力，國內生產者及相關試驗研究單位、學術機關等已積極投入春石斛栽培改進、行銷及品種改良等工作，期能加速提昇國內春石斛產業取得國際先機。
Dendrobium is one of the important orchids cultivated for cut flower and potted flower worldwide. The cultivation of Dendrodium in Taiwan has been over decades. But specialized grower were still limited, and the cultural techniques were still in trail and error stage. It is very important to conduct intensive research work in order to match the local growing condition and the requirements of different consumer markets. Recent research progress of nobile type dendrobium-including collect and introduce Dendrobium species and cultivars, evalulate the best breeding stocks, breeding of novel cultivars, and to conduct prodution research, including potting material, nutrition studies, propagation techniques ,flowering regulation, storage and shipment etc.
