Abstract
1985年秋作在高屏、雲嘉南及臺中等地區53個瓜園共採集585個疑病毒為害病徵之樣品，其中包括胡瓜283個、絲瓜65個、苦瓜84個、冬瓜56個、南瓜33個及扁蒲64個，應用ELISA法偵測ZYMV、WMV-1 及 CGMMV 等三種病毒在上述六種瓜類之發生情形，發現苦瓜及扁蒲以 WMV-1 感染比率最高外，其餘瓜類均以 ZYMV 感染比率最高，WMV-1 次之，CGMMV 再次之，樣品中含二種或兩種以上之病毒複合感染比率很高，測定結果各樣品中與上述三種病毒抗血清呈負反應者亦高，如冬瓜高達 59%；以地區而言，各地區病毒分佈情形亦以ZYMV 最普遍，WMV-1 次之。
Five hundred and eighty three leaf samples of six different cucurbits were collected from 53 cucurbit fields in the Taichung, Yu-chia-Nan, and Kao-Ping areas of Taiwan in the fall of 1985. These included 283 samples of cucumber (Cucumis sativus), 65 of wax gourd (Benincasa hispida Cogn), 33 of pumpkin (Cucurbita spp.), and 64 of bottle gourd (Lagenaria levcantha Rusby). Direct-ELISA tests were conducted to detect the presence of zucchini yellow mosaic virus (ZYMV), watermelon mosaic virus-1 (WMV-1), and cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (CGMMV) in these samples. The results showed that ZYMV was the most prevalent, followed by MWV-1, while CGMMV as rare in cucumber, sponge gourd, wax gourd and pumpkin. On the other hand, WMV-1 was the most common virus detected in bitter gourd and bottle gourd.
