Abstract
百香果別名時計果，本省經濟栽培生產始於民國53年，初期集中於彰化白沙坑一帶，爾後逐漸推廣至南投、嘉義及台東等縣。民國64年農試所育成「台農一號」，正式推廣後廣受歡迎，栽培面積逐漸增加，於民國73年曾高達1400公頃，當年果汁外銷產業也達到高峰。
Passionfruit (Passiflora edulis Sims f. flavicarpa Deg.) is a popular fruit crop grown in Taiwan as well as other tropical and subtropical countries. In 1983, a severe virus epidemic outbreak occurred on this crop and quickly destroyed the country's passionfruit juice industry within a year or two.
