Abstract
政府為解決臺灣地區柑橘事業遭受立枯病及病毒病害造成之危機，民國70年5月間前行政院農業發展委員會成立「柑橘產業諮議委員會」，並經行政院核准「臺灣柑橘事業發展輔導方案」。民國71年農林廳依據上述輔導方案，提出柑橘品種品系改進計畫，有關生產健康苗部份，由臺灣大學植病系以熱處理及頂梢嫁接法，將椪柑、桶柑、柳橙、麻豆文旦、麻豆白ha、萊姆、檸檬、茂谷柑及葡萄柚等優良品種品系無毒化，建立原原種。農試所嘉義分所園藝系在溪口農場設立隔離網室，利用上述原原種嫁接建立原種園及增殖母樹，提供農試所園藝系在隔離網室內建立無病毒柑橘採穗園，供應青果社苗圃及其他試驗場所，所需繁殖健康苗，作為推廣種植及試驗研究之材料。從民國72年冬至74年，本分所陸續自臺大植病系取得無毒化之原原種接穗，建立原種園，至76年累計培育保存椪柑、桶柑、麻豆文旦、麻豆白柚、葡萄柚、萊姆、優利卡檸檬及茂谷柑等品種品系原種樹各10~20株。採穗增殖樹各20~40株。76年嫁接保存椪柑及桶柑之CTV微弱系統原種各17株和14株。供應農試所採穗園之接穗累計共取935芽，分別為椪柑1,800芽、桶柑1,655芽、葡萄ha220芽、麻豆文旦110芽、麻豆白柚150芽。
農試所嘉義分所除保存上述之原種外，民國73年3月開始，亦採用頂梢嫁接或熱處理併用之方怯，將本分所保存之柑橘種原逐步予以無毒化保存。至民國76年累計獲得36品種97株之頂梢嫁接苗，該批苗已陸續移請臺大植病系協助病毒之檢定。
農試所第一柑橘採穗園，從民國74年8月間，開始陸續供應青果社苗圃、關西柑橘工作站、臺東區農業改良場及臺大園藝系無毒化接穗，數量分別為：74年椪柑14,249芽、桶柑51,377芽；75年椪柑167,271芽、桶柑165,259芽、葡萄柚326芽、麻豆白柚27芽、麻豆文旦37芽；76年椪柑2也250芽、桶柑12,400芽。三年累計椪柑20氏770芽、桶柑229,036芽、葡萄柚326芽、麻豆白柚27芽、麻豆文旦37芽，總計435,196芽。
民國75年8月農試所採穗園網室遭韋恩颱風吹損，由嘉義分所協助供應椪柑19,500芽、早生桶柑8,000芽。
民國76年7月，為確保供應無毒化接穗，在嘉義分所溪口網室再闢第二柑橘採穗園，同年供應碰柑7,000芽，兩年累計供應碰柑26,500芽、桶柑8,000芽，合計34,500芽。
The virus-free Citrus Foundation Block was established at Chiayi Agricultural Experiment Station of Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute in 1984. Virus species and cullivars, including ponkan, early tankan, tankan, Matou Wentan, Matou Peiyu, grapefruit, lime, Eureka lemon, and Murcott orange, have ben budded and maintained in screen houses at CAES. Two Citrus Scion Nurseries are located at TARI and CAES respectly. Up to now, totally 435,196 virus-free buds of ponkan, tankan, grapefruit, Matou Wentan, Maou Peiyu, etc., had been released to five citrus nurseries operated by Taiwan Provincial Fruit Marketing Cooperative in the past years. The virus-free buds of other cultivars will also be released to them in the near future. Seven thousand budling plants of different major commercial cultivars, as ponkan, tankan, Matou Wenten, Matou Peiyu and grapefruit, had already been sent to 9 locations in 1936 for trial and investigating the problems possibly occurred when these virus-free materials are over-whole released to the growers.
