Abstract
1.開始產卵其第一個月卵重平均較輕者，其第一產卵年期內之增重較快，重者則反是。同時其增重之速度隨（年齡）月數之增加而漸減，第一個月平均卵重愈重者，其增重愈不齊一，且有反輕之現象。
During the years 1945-1950 all eggs at the poultry farm were weighed daily on the day following production to 0.5 gm. The records of 163 W. S. C. leghorns Were chosen for this study, only, birds that had produced 100 eggs or more during the first laying year were used. The mean number of eggs per bird was 162±2.687, the mean days of first egg laying was 192.583±3.323. The data were placed on a monthly basis. The mean monthly egg size was obtained from the varied age of first laying egg, from the different month the bird beginning laying and from the different egg size of beginning laying for determing what effect the various factors named have on egg size.
