Abstract
瓜蠅雌雄兩性活動時間顯然有別，雌成蟲在早晚出現較多，雄成蟲則在日中出現較多，此和其產卵之時間有密切關係。為達有效防治該蟲之施藥時間，應在其產卵前施之效果最大。可能時應在早晨日出前後，或在14：00 稍後此兩時間施之最有效。
The periods of activity of both sexes of melon fly are quite different. Most of the females appear during dawn and early in the evening while the males appear in the period during beforenoon and afternoon. It is correlated significantly to the oviposition activity of the females.
