Abstract
臺稉育62069號是以日本良質米品種絹光為母本，臺梗四號為父本，於公元1992年進行雜交選育工作，歷經分離世代單株、系統選拔，新品系觀察、初級、高級及區域試驗等產量比較試驗，並於各世代接受各項特性檢定、米質外觀篩選、食味口感測定，為時近九年，於公元2000年完成命名登記，商品名稱為益全香米。 A new japonica rice variety, Tainung 71, developed by the Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute (TARI), COA, was formally registered in 2000. In memory of the late former breeding leader, Dr. Yihchuan Kuo, the new variety was designated 'Yichuan Aromatic Rice' as commercial name.
