臺灣金線連被廣泛應用於治療糖尿病、高血壓及腫瘤等病症，甚具醫療價值，由於天然生產之金線連不敷藥用所需，如以傳統的播種法繁殖，種子也很難發芽，因此利用組織培養技術提高種子萌芽率，大量緊殖此一重要的藥用植物種苗，是本研究之目的。Anoectochilus formosanus Hayata has been widely used in Taiwan for treating many diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and tumors, This medicinal herb is short in supply due to over-harvest of the naturally-grown plants and poor germination of the seeds. The purpose of this study was to explore ways to improve the seed germination rate through tissue culture techniques in order to establish a mass-propagation system of this precious plant species.
