目前在馬鈴薯栽培上，以生長調節作用為目標的化學品已商品化的有萌芽抑制劑如 MH，CIPC，TCNB。可增進紅色品種塊莖果皮顏色的有2，4-D，和增加塊莖數目如2，4-D，B-9。雖然 GA 亦曾深入探討其實用性，但結果不穩定故尚不能商品化。
