Abstract
1. From 120 lice varieties of various-districts of Eastern Asia, seven varieties were taken out as the analysing varieties and were crossed with each :of the 120 varieties, and thus each variety was examined as to which analysing varieties would present sterility in the hybrid with the variety, or as to the reaction type.
2. The percentage of normal pollen, by which the degree of sterility was represented, was found to be different with the combination of parental varieties; and there was no difference between reciprocal crosses.
