Abstract

Expert systems, being capable of integrating and accumulating the knowledge and experiences of domain experts, will gradually be applied in many agricultural activities requiring decision-making. In this paper, practical values of developing agricultural expert systems were first discussed. Basic concepts, ideal structures, and current stands of expert systems were also described. Finally, a basic frame regarding developing an integrated agricultural expert management system was proposed. When designing the research direction for the new era, the development of an integrated agricultural expert management system is worth of sincere consideration.
