Abstract
臺灣蝴蝶蘭年產值約30億元新臺幣，所生產之瓶苗、盆苗、開花株，除供應
國內市場外，主要外銷至美國、日本和歐洲等地。品種多樣化為產業之基礎，目
前臺灣除採用傳統雜交育種進行品種研發外，也積極開發雜交育種障礙克服及基
因轉殖等技術。種苗量化繁殖方面，無病毒種苗生產之概念業已受到重視並逐漸
落實。栽培技術方面，臺灣以水苔為單一栽培介質之生產技術已相當純熟，惟量
產質優、整齊一致之健康種苗，且兼顧環保、節能之設施及生產技術尚待加強。
在外銷貯運方面，已成功發展出船運技術，使生產成本大為降低。臺灣蝴蝶蘭產
業確有許多競爭優勢，惟近年來也受到具有花卉高生產技術及通路優勢的荷蘭及
相對資源優勢的中國及韓國之挑戰。因此，臺灣目前雖在品種選育、優質種苗量
化、栽培及貯運技術等方面累積許多成果並積極擴充產量，而如何經濟且精準排
程性生產優質量化產品的能力，勢必是臺灣蝴蝶蘭產業發展所需關注的主要優勢
技術。
The phalaenopsis orchids produced in Taiwan yearly reached 3 billion NT
dollars. The flasked seedlings and plantlets, young plants, mature plants and flowering
plants served not only domestically but also internationally which covered the US,
Japan, Europe etc. Various varieties are the foundations. At present, tradition cross
breeding is conducted in variety researches. Researches also focused on overcoming
crossing barriers and genetic transformation techniques. As for the mass seedling
and/or plantlet propagation, the productions of virus-free seedling/plantlet has
received attentions and actualized gradually. The skills of using sphagnum moss as the
sole growing medium have reached superior stages in Taiwan. However, the superior
quality and uniformity standard for the mass seedling/plantlet production remained to
be ensured when factors of environmental protection and energy conservation are
taken into account. As for the exporting storage, satisfactory techniques of boating
transportations are developed and thus successfully largely reduced the cost. The
Taiwan phalaenopsis industry has many competition advantages. However, in these
years, it also faced the challenges of high-producing technologies, international
marketing.
