Abstract
(1.) A kind of insect, causing a serious damage to Litchi, commonly is called Ku Chung. Now, we have identified that it is larva of Anoplophora macularia (Thom.).
(2.) If the healthy Litchi trees are damaged by the larva of Anoplophorm., it would be wilted or dead within six months.
(3.) It is difficult for us to find out the larva of Anoplophora., because the Litchi tree in the primary stages of injuring almost neither the bored hole nor the dung can be found unless inspecting them carefully.
