Abstract
本試驗分別測試以藥劑及套袋方法防治楊桃果實蛀蟲，結果顯示單獨使用藥劑，並不能有效地抑制果實蛀蟲之造成經濟為害損失。以套袋方援雖可顯著地降低果實被害，但必需待果實發育達5公分左右長度時始方便處理。綜合藥劑與套袋方法，即自謝花後開始施用殺蟲劑，每7~10天一次，經20~30天果實發育達5公分左右時，套用經藥劑處理之密封透氣袋，效果最佳，防治收益最優。
The cararnbola fruit borer, Eucosma notanthes is an important insect pest of carambola in Taiwan. The pest could lay its eggs on and damage to any stage of the fruits through a year round that cause a great economic losses of the fruit production. Present experiment is conducted to evaluate the effeciency of borer’s control by using insecticide application and paper-bag covering method. The results indicated that insecticide alone was not sufficient to suppress the borer infestation economically. Covering fruits with paper-bags although could protect the fruits from damage, but it was laborious and also caused a severe fruits falling when the action was taken during young fruit stage. Integrated the two methods by application of insecticide at 7-to 10-day intervals since fruit setting stage to the fruits growing upto about 5 cm in length, then covering the fruits with paperbags provided the highest control effeciency.
