Abstract
A potential yield demonstration programme, aimed at estimating the productivity of rice grown on various soils using optimum cultivation and fertilization methods, and assessing unknown yield limiting factors on individual soils, is described. In the 1st crop season of 1975, 120 demonstration plots were established at 120 sites throughout Taiwan. On the 2nd crop season of 1976, 90 of the 120 plots were used.
