Abstract
在全省廣泛地點(前後共124處)以儘可能使用同一品種，週密的栽培管理和適量之三要素施肥下探討各處水田的第一和第二期作水稻收量，並將此等地點之第二期作收量較第一期作之低落歸為土壤性和地區性兩種，分析有關土壤及水稻生態因素。
Rice yield in Taiwan is generally lower (15-40%) in the second than in the first crop. This difference is generally attributed to the different climatic conditions of these two seasons. As the reduction of yield is often more prominent on certain soils than on others, it has also been speculated that seasonal difference in rice yield.
