Abstract
The greenhouse whitefly, Trialeurodes vaporariorum (Westwood) is an important insect pest on many vegetables and floricultural crops cultivated in greenhouses. This insect was first found in Taiwan on gerbera plants in March 1988 and its distribution was restricted to gerbera plants grown in the shadehouses. The development of this new-introduced insect on horticultural crops has been watched carefully in Taiwan.
