Abstract
Banana is one of the major commercial fruit crops in Taiwan. Most of bananas are produced for export, and above 90% of exported bananas are shipped into Japan. Looking out upon the international competition on the banana marketing, in order to keep up the Japanese market the improvement in fruit quality of banana is the most important point at present time.
