Abstract
Taiwan abalone held in 30 ‰ seawater and then transferred to 20, 25, 30 and 35 ‰ were examined for immune parameters, and phagocytic activity and clearance effciency to Vibrio parahemolytics after 24 and 72 h. The THC (total haemocyte count) increase directly with salinity levels. Phenoloxidae activity, respiratory burst, phagocytic activity and clearance efficiency to V. parahaemolyticus decreased significantly for the abalone transferred to 20, 25 and 35 ‰.
