Abstract
在春作環境下，不同地區之台南白族群分蘗數表現有明顯差異，平均而言，以台東族群最多（2.32），其次為屏東、花蓮及雲林族群（1.94～2.00），而台中及台南兩族群則較少（1.62及1.66），可能係長期處於不同生態環境形成分化所致。
Tainan-white (TNW) is a native maize population which has been cultivated for over 80 years in Taiwan, and ultilized as a green corn. The present result indicates that the tiller number of TNW population was largest in Taitung area, followed by Pingtung, Hualien, Yunlin, Taichung and Tainan, when these populations were planted in spring crop season.
