Abstract

柑橘角肩樁象(Rhynchocoris humeralis (Thunberg)=hamatus Fabricus)為東南亞著名之柑橘害蟲，專以吸取果汁為食，可使果實硬化，抑低品質，甚而導致嚴重之落果現象，其經濟上之重要性，自非一般害蟲所能比擬。歷年來，吾人對柑橘害蟲及锈蜱，均有適當之防治，唯有角肩樁象却依然任其猖獗為害，迄未加以防治。據1957年John G. Matthysse氏報告，菲列賓曾利用dieldrin對柑橘綠樁象(Rhynchocrois longirostris Stal.)作防治試驗，然識者無不認為此類藥劑，萬不能使用於柑橘上，蓋氯化烴類殺蟲劑之經常撒布，每每一併殺死澳州瓢蟲(Rodolia cardinalis)，小黑瓢蟲(Stethorus Spp.)，六點薊馬(Scolothrips Sp.)及介殼蟲寄生蜂等天敵，而失去生物平衡，促使柑橘紅蜘蛛及吹棉介殼蟲(Icerya purchase Maskell)之大發生，實為得不償失之計耳，他如靈丹對角肩樁象之防治，亡友陳履通兄雖有初步之試驗，後因靈丹氣味特殊，不宜使用於柑橘果實，終告拾棄。筆者有鑒於此，纔於1959年夏利用美國出品之Sevin, Sabadilla等藥劑，作以精密之防治試驗，成績頗著，爰此報告，以供同道參考。 The stinkbug, Rhynchocoris humeralis Thunberg, is one of the most important citrus pests in S. E. Asia. The bug is more serious in Taiwan as infestations are continueous during the fruiting period as causing dropping fruits. Screen tests with new chemicals, such as Sevin (1-naphthyl N.methylcarbamate), Sabadilla (seeds of a speices of Liliaceae), and Malathion, for the control of citrus green stinkbug (Rhynchocoris humeralis) were conducted during the summer, 1959. All data were analyzed and the significant difference (D) was calculated using Tukey’s method. Spray and dust tests demonstrated that Sabadilla 10:95% wettable sulfur 90, Sabadilla 5:95% wettable sulfur 95, sabadilla × 250, Local formulated 5%, 10% Sevin dust, and 15% Sevin E × 300 gave effective control. There was no significant difference between the local formulated 15% Sevin E × 450 and 57% Malathion E × 400. Upon the viewpoint of economy, whoever, the market price of Sabadilla is much higher than that of Sevin, therefore, for control of the stinkbug that Sevin would be one of the best pesticides to be recommended.
