Abstract
六十多年來，臺灣的水稻第二期作單位面積產量比第一期作者低約20%。近十年來，此低產程度有增加之勢，尤其是高雄、屏東、臺北、宜蘭地區為甚。
秈稻的全年單位面積產量仍然比稉稻者低。十五年來二期作低產程度以秈稻最嚴重，稉稻次之。秈稻的栽培面積二十五年來連續下降，二期作面積的下降幅度較大。
1. Yield per unit area of the second crop rice in Taiwan averaged 20% lower than that of the first crop in the past sixty years. This yield difference has been increased appreciably in the lastest decade particularly in Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Taipei and Ilan areas.
