Abstract
將甜瓜（金輝品種）之離葉於透明塑膠盒內以葉柄浸漬養液的方式培養，於28~32℃栽培6~10days後可由葉柄長出較多的根以維持葉片活力。以吹落孢子的方式將人工培養的白粉病菌Podosphaera xanthii分生孢子接種於已長根之離葉上，爾後培養於24℃/20℃(Day/night)光照12hrs之定溫箱，接種葉片發病面積隨接種濃度與接種時間之增加而增加。
A cultured leaf method was developed for disease assessment of melon powdery mildew caused by Podosphaera xanthii in this study. The detached leaves of melon (Orient sweet- Golden Light) with petiole were cultured in the transparent plastic boxes which contained nutrient solution.
