Abstract
本研究係利用四個水稻品種，穗數型品種（臺南3號），穗重型品種（嘉農242號），突變半矮稻品系(D-15-8)係高分蘗型及(D-8-23)係低分蘗型，利用以上各品種爲試驗材料，進行全互交（包括正逆雜交）以研究水稻重要數量性狀之遺傳現象。以雜種第一代及親本自交後代爲資料，依據Hayman (1954, a.b)之統計分析原理及方法，研究水稻之抽穗期、株高、分蘗數、穗數、穗長、穗重、每穗粒數、結實率、百粒重、產量等數量性狀之遺傳，其主要結果如下：
In this paper, an analysis of genetic variation of quantitative characters by means of a 4×4 diallel cross is presented. The 4 parental lines are Tainan 3, Chia-nung 242, D-155-8 and D-8-23. Tainan 3 is a variety of abundant tillering and Chia-nung 242 a variety of large panicle. The other two varieties are of dwarf erectoid type. The characters being studied are heading date, plant height, tiller number, panicle number, panicle length, panicle weight, number of grains per panicle, seed fertility, weight of 100 grains and yield.
