Abstract
甘藷品種及品系間胡蘿蔔素含量差異甚大，肉色白的品種不含有胡蘿蔔素，肉色越紅，胡蘿蔔素含量愈豐，應用胡蘿蔔素含量高的品種或品系作親本，從事雜交有提高其含量之趨勢。
There are great differences in the carotene content among varieties and clones in the sweet potato. None of the varieties or clones with white flesh has been found with any carotene content. The more the carotene content, the deeper the flesh color.
