Abstract
(一)雜交育成之黃麻對短日照較鈍感之新品種臺農3號(FS-49-P-4)係臺灣省農業試驗所於民國39年以虎尾青皮與臺中特1號雜交之後裔，42年將之移至臺南棉麻試驗分所繁殖，經株行、三行、中級試驗，並於49年在屏東作早播觀察時自2優良單株中選出1株繁殖純化，參加中部地區高級試驗進而大區示範，顯現優異成績，終於58年審查合格，正式命名，繁殖推廣。
1.The new jute variety "Tainung No.3" (FS-49-P-4) which is nonsensitive to short day light is selected by hybridization breeding from the progenies of Huwei Green Bark and Tainung Special No.1 crossed by Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute in 1950. They have been multiplied and selected in Tainan Fiber Crops Experiment Station since 1953. Through plant to row test, three row test, preliminary test, and observation test for early sowing in Pingtung in 1960, the new strain FS-49-Pt-4 was multiplied, purified, and selected as a strain.
