Abstract
一、55/56年期在臺北、桃園、臺中、彰化及嘉義等五縣二十菇舍以罩網（trap）分半月調查菇床表面蟎類發生種類，共發現蟎類十五種，包括捕食性一種及寄生性一種，其中以溝蟎、長毛蟎及小蟎較多。
二、在菇床表面蟎類季節之消長因種而異，但在11月中旬至12月中旬間發生最多。其後有隨氣溫降低而減少，由其密度消長現象，菇床蟎類大部份似由堆肥帶上菇床繁殖。
三、防治菇床之蟎類，應在堆肥未進舍前加以適當處理，以免因堆肥製作時高溫導致蟎類大量繁殖而帶入菇床為害。
1. Fifteen species of mites were collected on surfac of cultivating media in nor-thern and central of Taiwan by using funnel traps. Of these 15 species, I was each predatory and parasitic, and Neoparasitids (溝蟎) ,Tyrophagus sp. (長毛蟎) and Pigmaeophorus sp. (小蟎) were most abundant.
2. The population density of these mites varied with the species but generally it was at the highest from mid November to mid December. Apparently the mites were brought into the nurseries along with the compost used as the cultivation media, and the prior treatment of the compost is important to control these pests.
