Abstract
台灣洋蔥栽培首重品質的選育，因此本分所近年來陸續由國外引進許多優良洋蔥新品種，取代早期栽培最多的推廣品種早玉及勝早玉429。根據本年度(87)在外銷洋蔥主要產區屏東枋山試區的試驗初步結果顯示，洋蔥新品種 CAL 303、CAL505、CAL606、CAL707、CAL808，其合格率平均可達71.0%以上、分球率在2.3%以下，產量可增加46.7%以上，皆優於外銷用對照品種 Granex429。
The priority of onion cultivation in Taiwan is the selection new varieties for local-favored. Therefore, a number of new onion varieties were continuously introduced by Fengshan station year by year to instead of early cultivated varieties such as Texas Early Grano 502 and Yellow Granex 429. In accordance with the 1998 fiscal years' experimental results derived from Fan-Shan plot in PIng-Tung indicated that the new introduced varieties such as CAL 303、CAL505、CAL606、CAL707 and CAL808 performed much better in characteristics of standard bulb rate (.71%), double bulb rate (<2.3%) and yield (+46.7%) with great potential for exporation than the most important exporting variety.
