Abstract
試驗採用秈、稉稻各一品種，於田間及人工氣候室進行，探討一、二期作水稻之分蘗特性及其限制因子。
試驗結果發現一期作水稻於移植後30天開始分蘗，二期作則為10天，一期作於移植後50-60天達到最高分蘗期，二期作則為40天左右。兩期作水稻分蘗持續時間相似。
Tillering capacity is lower in the second than in the first crop of rice and this is usually considered as one of the most important factors of the low yield of second crop rice in Taiwan. It is also recognized that temperature difference between the two crop seasons exerts a significant effect upon the tillering capacuty of rice plants.
