Abstract
穀象 (Sitophilus oryzae) 和擬穀盜 (Tribolium castaneum) 對Cythion已產生抗藥性，本試驗用Baythion粉劑代替Cythion混拌積穀，又為顧及食用安全，以供試2種藥劑與玉米粉混拌，進行小白鼠口服試驗。每種粉劑各分10 ppm、6 ppm、4 ppm、2 ppm、1 ppm 5種濃度調入飼料，飼餵5個月，各組所產生之後代幼鼠亦飼餵5個月，結果各組小白鼠之跋育情形甚正常，該2種藥劑推薦防冶儲穀害蟲用之濃度為4 ppm，對人類健康似無影響。
1. By using Baythion in stead of Cythion mixed with storage grains for the control of insect pests is very effective. But the oral feeding test of rat is conducted for the safety of human consumption.
2. Oral tests were divided into 5 concentrations and check, namely 1, 2, 4, 6, 10 and
0 ppm of Baythion and Cythion respectively. Both rat parents and their offsprings were fed up to 5 months, the development of each treatment rats was normal, showing no side effect. The results showed that 4 ppm of Baythion mixed with the storage grains could be used as the substitute of Cythion.
