Abstract
豇豆(Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp. spp. sesquipedalis (L.) Verde.) 為本省重要之夏季蔬菜。栽培過程中極易罹患病毒病而影響豆莢之產量與品質。黑眼豇豆嵌紋病毒(blackeye cowea mosaic virus, BICMV) 及胡瓜嵌紋病 (cucumber mosaic vitus, CMV) 是危害本豇豆之最主要病毒，感病植株之部份種子有帶病毒現象，發芽後即成為田間初次感染源，再經人員操作及蟲媒介可造成病害流行，影響植株之生長與結莢。
Asparagus bean [Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp. ssp. Sesquipedalis (L.) Verdc.] is one of the important vegetables in Taiwan in hot and wet summer season. Among various kinds of diseases attacking asparagus bean, virus diseases are recognized as major limiting factors for its production. Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) and Blackeye cowpea mosaic virus (BICMV) were previously found as the two major viruses attacking asparagus bean in fields.
