本研究之目標在開發以遙測技術檢測稻株氮營養狀況的方法。試驗分別在行政院農業委員會農業試驗所農場和嘉義分所溪口農場進行，以台農67號(Otyza sativa L.)為試驗品種。1999年一、二期作進行之氮肥缺乏試驗，處理田不施肥而對照田為正常施肥。試驗結果顯示，不施肥田區葉片葉綠素和氮素含量在全生育期皆較正常施肥田區為低，且一、二期作稻株葉綠素和氮素含量成顯著正相關（rlst=0.744,r2nd=0.837) ，而營養、生殖生長性狀皆以不施肥田區較正常施肥田區差。光譜特徵波長分析指出，以735 nm 的微分值可拉大其氮肥處理差距，以不施肥田區的微分值較正常施肥田區低。2000年一期作在嘉義分所的不等氮肥試驗的結果顯示，735 nm 的微分值與水稻幼穗形成期的氮素含量成顯著正相關（r=0.927）。2001年一期作在嘉義分所進行的不同等級氮肥施用試驗（0、45、90、180 kg N ha-1）的結果顯示，以735 nm 的微分值可拉大不等氮肥的級距比較，唯在90 kg 和180 kg 問難以區分。2001年一期作在農試所內所進行的水稻不同等級氮肥(0、60、120、180 kg N ha -1)試驗，以幼穗形成期的稻株氮素含量和735 nm 的微分值有顯著正相關(r=0.737)，而分蘗盛期所分析的稻株氮素含量，則與735 nm 的微分值相關性較低。
This study was intended to develop remote sensing technique and to idefflify spectral characterisuics associated with nitrogen content of rice plaffis and to establish their quantitative relationships. Field experiments were conducted in the experimental farms in Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute and ChiaYi Agricultural Research Branch Station, TARI., using Tainung 67 (Onyza sativa L.) cultiva. Nitrogen deficiency experiment conducted in the 1st and the 2nd crops of 1999 at TARI indicated that chlorophyll concentration and nitrogen content of non-nitrogcn applied plants were lowcr than thosc applicd with adequate nitrogen fertilizer. The vegetative and reproductive growth at non- nitrogen field was less than those at normal nitrogen field, Canopy reflectance spectral difference among nitrogen treatments could he easily identified by spectral differential techniques. Nitrogen field experiments conducted at experimental farm at Chia-Yi in the 1 crop of 2000 indicated that the relationship between the nitrogen content plants in the of panicle formation stage and first derivative value at 735 nm was positive linearly correlated (r=0.937). Nitrogen field experiments, 0,45,90, and 180 kg ha-1, conducted at experimental farm at Chia-Vi in the 1st crop 2001 indicated that differences among treatments could be amplified by first derivative differential of canopy spectral at 735 nm, but the differences between 90 and 180 kg lia-1 treatments were small. Nitrogen experiments were also conducted at farm of Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute, in the l crops of 2001 with 0,60,120,180 kg ha-1 nitrogen treatment. The relationship between the nitrogen content plants in the of panicle fonnation stage and first derivative value at 735 nm was positive linearly correlated (r=0.737). However, the correlation was not as good as at the maximum tillering number stage.
