(第10號)臺灣山地主要食糧作物調查報告

Abstract

本篇係本所從事調查本省山地農業情形及搜集有關資料加以整理分析之記錄，對本省山地發及農業改良上尚屬可貴之資料，茲特付刊，以供參考。 (1)據前述調查結果，粟及陸稻係山胞最重要之食糧作物，其收穫豐歉直接影響山胞生活頗大，惟此等作物，經山胞栽培已久，尚未加以改良，年復一年，大部份品種退化，生產力降低。若不加以改良育種，決下能達到增產之目的，故本所鑒於改良上必需，所以調在時併行採集該項種子及其他認為主要食糧作物之種子，以供與改良育種之村枓，其明細列表如後。 1. Following the agricultural development on Taiwan Plain, the present boundary line of the mountainous region is formed. The mountainous region is not only the living stand of the aboriginals but also is the site of electric and hydraulic power and soil conservation. It is therefore evident that the mountainous region is closely related to the welfare of the people on the plain.
