Abstract:
The objective of this study was to compare the callus-forming ability of anthers originated from rice tillers of different orders; pikelets at different position and branches.
Two methods of sampling panicles for anthers culture were employed. The first method was to collect panicles at the appropriate developmental stage from rice tillers of different orders within the same plant. The second method was to harvest panicles from tillers of a definite order from individual plant, vegetative organs were remained in both sampling methods.
