測定七個大豆不同品種之根瘤菌固氮率的差異及其固氮率與產量間之關係。試驗結果顯示七個不同品種之大豆其固氮率及產量均有顯著的差異。固氮率以十石最高，臺農4 號及高雄3 號最低。70 年秋作產量以高雄3 號及高雄8 號最高，十石及中興3 號最低，但是71 年春作產量則以高雄8 號及和歌島最高，百美豆及十石最低。各品種的固氮率均以V8-R1期最高。大豆的產量和其固氮率的大小未有絕對的關係存在。由大豆的根部分離篩選得到24 菌株的優良大豆根瘤菌。
This experiment was conducted to study the difference in N2-fixation rate among 7 soybean varieties and its effect on soybean yield. The N2-fixation rate and yield varied among 7 soybean varieties. In general, the highest N2-fixation rates were recorded in cv. Shih-shih and the lowest in cvs. Tainung No. 4 and Kaohsiung No. 3. The highest yield was obtained in cvs. Kaoshiung No. 3 and Kaoshiung No. 8 and the lowest in cvs. Shih-shih and Chung-Hsing No. 3 in the fall crop of 1981. However, in the spring crop of 1982, the highest and lowest yield were observed in Kaoshiung No. 8 and Wakasim a, Shih-shih and palmetto, respectively. The highest N2-fixation rate was recorded at V8-R1 stage during the soybean growth of all varieties. No relationship was observed between N2-fixation rate and yield. The application of N30 kg!/ha did not significantly inhibit the N2-fixation rate at any of the soybean growth stages. Twenty-four isolates of high N2-fixing Phizobium were obtained from soybean roots in this study.
