水稻品種臺農67號之育成

Abstract

水稻品種台農 67 號是由（臺中試 138 號 × 台農 61 號） × 台農 51 號之後代選出。全省區域試驗第一期作平均比對照種增產 10.5%，第二期作增產 11.9%。其高產特性於臺北及新竹區地方試驗再度確認。本品種之全生育日數與對照種相似，植株稍矮，較耐肥及耐倒伏。其稻熱病抵抗性與臺南 5 號相似，稍抗細菌性白葉枯病，稍耐飛蝨及小粒菌核病。米質達一般蓬萊稻之標準。 Rice variety Tainung 67, a selection from the cross of Taichung Shih 138 X Tainung 61/2, outyielded the control varieties in the regional yield tests by 10.5% in the first rice crop and by 11.9% in the second crop on a provincial average. Its high-yield potential was confirmed in the local trials of Taipei and Hsingchu districts. The total growth duration of this variety was similar to the control varieties. It was relatively tolerant to lodging and more favorably responsive to nitrogen fertilizers due to shorter height of its plant. In the uaiform disease nurseries, Tainung 67 showed a degree of resistance to blast disease similar to Tainan 5 and a fair resistance to the bacterial leaf blight disease. It is relatively tolerant to brown plant hoppers and sclerotial stem rot. The quality of milled rice is also similar to that of ordinary Ponlai varieties.
