利用8個玉米自交系親本及其28個Fl全互交(不包括反交)單交種所進行之田間試驗資料,估算(μC+μF)-(μD+μE)及μG值,以鑑別理想供給親自交系。理想供給親自交系具有與產量有關之顯性基因,而此類基因並不存在於一有待改良之單交種中。當設計Hi25+CM103、UH-1 × ICAL210及Pi77-4257 × Hi28為有待改良之單交種時,在不完全顯性之前提下,Pi77-4257及Oh545將獲選為CM103及ICAL210自交系改良之理想供給親。本試驗結果顯示:利用理想供給觀進行優良單交種之親本改良,或為玉米育種之另一有利途徑。
Data from field evaluation of eight parental maize inbred lines and 28 F1 diallel hybrids were used for estimation of (μC+μF)-(μD+μC) and μG for identifying inbred lines containing dominant allele affecting grain yield, which are not already present in an elite cross. When Hi25×CM103, UH-1×ICAL210 and Pi77-4257×Hi28 were designated as the elite hybrids to be improved, if incomplete dominance is assumed, Pi77-4257 and Oh545 would be chosen to improve CM103 and ICAL210, respectively. Results of this study suggest the method may be useful in practical breeding programs.
