Changes in the Nomenclature of Five Species of Psyllids from Taiwan (Homoptera: Psylloidea), with Notes on the Genus Bactericera

Abstract

New names have been given to two independent species (Psylla alniformosanaesuga sp .n. and Cacopsylla taitoensis sp.n.) described from Taiwan (By Yang, 1984 and Fang et Yang, 1986) and erroneously considered to be European. Furthermore, three species described in the genus Bactericera from Taiwan have been found to be homonymous with species belonging to this genus but still not transferred from the genus Trioza, and the following new binomens have been created: Bactericera octocalcarata nom. nov. for Bactericera artemisiae Fang et Yang, Bactericera miyatakeiana nom. nov. for Bactericera dubia Yang and Bactericera chunghsingica nom. nov. for Bactericera nigra Yang. 經再次研究比較楊（1984）及方與楊（1986）所記錄之臺灣木蝨種類後，其中部份種類作如下之變動：1.Psylla alni Yang, 1984 [nec（Linnaeus, 1758）]應鑑定為新種，其新名為Psylla alniformosanaesuga sp. nov.; Psylla viburni Fang et Yang, 1986 [nec Loew, 1876]應鑑定為新種，其新名為Cacopsylla taitoensis sp. nov.。2.依木蝨分類之演變，目前在Trioza屬中之部份種類應轉歸屬於Bactericera屬中，而其中三種與臺灣所記錄之三新種Bactericera artemisiae Fang et Yang, 1986, B. dubia Yang, 1984及B. nigra Yang, 1984發生異物同名之情形，故分別給與三個新名。B. artemisiae Fang et Yang改為B. octocalcarata nom. nov., B. dubia Yang改為B. miyatakeiana nom. nov., B. nigra Yang改為B. chunghsingica nom. nov.。
