Abstract: | A new concept called Variety Update for rice molecular breeding was introduced. We updated four traits of japonica elite variety Koshihikari and bred four new varieties of Koshihikari in this work. The idea of Variety Update was from computer software and digital informatics. To improve on less desirable traits of elite variety only through replacing a small chromosomal fragment, was our concept. |
