Abstract: | 苦瓜富含大量維他命及礦物元素,可作為食用、觀賞用及藥用,其果實、嫩莖、花、葉及種子皆可分別作為香料、蔬菜及甜味劑之用,用途非常廣泛,深受國人喜愛。苦瓜可周年栽培,每年5-10 月為生產旺季,為台灣夏季重要瓜果類蔬菜之一。苦瓜栽培相當容易,但欲生產健康、優質苦瓜,則需充分了解苦瓜風土適應性、生長與結果習性,並選擇適當品種、季節、地區,同時配合良好的栽培管理方式,並進一步加強整蔓、肥料、水分、病蟲害等綜合管理技術的調控,才能達到生產健康優質苦瓜,供給國人清潔、安全蔬菜的理想目標。 Bitter gourd can be grown as edible, ornamental and medicinal uses. It contains a great deal of vitamins and minerals. The fruit, young shoot, flower, leaf and pulpy aril are used for flavorings, greens and as a sweet, respectively. Bitter gourd is one of the most important cucurbits and very welcomed by consumers during summer season in Taiwan. It can be cultivated year round and the main production season is from May to October. Bitter gourd is prone to grow in normal condition. However, an adequate climate is favored for plant growth, fruit setting, and high quality fruit production. Carefully choosing of suitable varieties, planting season and production areas as well as a skilful culture practice and management are the key point for production a sanitary and high quality fruits for consumers. |
