康安全甜椒果實，有其困難，其中戶外以土壤病害與高溫不易著果問題最大，設施內的彩色甜椒則以缺鈣引起的尻腐病與茶細螨最嚴重。農業試驗所以抗耐疫病的辣椒雜交品系9 個作砧木，以栽培最普遍的 ‘銘星’品種作接穗嫁接，嫁接存活株7 月17 日移植本所田區，9 月27 日調查，未嫁接 ‘銘星’死亡率為36.8%，嫁接5 個品系死亡率為0，2 個品系死亡率為0-10%範圍，2 個品系死亡率為10-20%範圍；未嫁接‘銘星’因不耐熱，10 株不含果實鮮重僅有3 公克，嫁接品系 ‘602’則有80 公克；未嫁接‘銘星’結果數平均為0，嫁接品系最高平均單株3 個果實，平均單株產量有66 公克；嫁接果實以品評方式測試胎座與果肉33 株，皆未有辣味。嫁接抗病品系，初步結果顯示有較高田間存活率、早生、耐熱與產量高的優點，風味則未因嫁接而變辣。設施中茶細螨防治，國外有利用捕植螨((Neoseiulus cucumeris)與燻硫等方式處理。設施中甜椒缺鈣引起的尻腐病，可以用品種選擇與養液調整減少發生。
Sweet pepper which cultivated in Spring and Autumn for lowland and in Summer for highland is important fruit vegetable in Taiwan. Color sweet pepper mostly cultivated in plastic house. Average month yield of all year were lowest from July to October and highest for average price. Problems of cultivating sweet pepper from July to October were soil born disease which included phytophthora blight and bacterial wilt, bacterial spot, virus which transmitted by vector of pest or mechanical, high temperature which make flower or fruit drop or blossom-end rot, anthracnose which happened in color sweet pepper in outdoors, pest which included broad mite, aphid and white fly, especially broad mite. As soil born disease and low fruit set in summer, it was hard to produce healthy sweet pepper in outdoors. As high temperature, blossom-end rot and broad mite, it was also hard to produce healthy color sweet pepper in plastic house. Grafting sweet pepper cultivar ‘Andalus’ on 9 different resistant or tolerant phytophthora blight hot pepper lines as stock evaluated in middle of Taiwan from 17, July to 27, September, 2004. Death ratio of non-grafted ‘Andalus’ was 31.8%, 0% for 5 grafting combinations, 0-10% for 2 grafting combinations, 10-20% for 2 grafting combinations. As lacking of heat tolerance, non-grafted ‘Andalus’ were only 3 grams, grafting with stock line of ‘602’ were 80 grams. Fruit of non-grafted ‘Andalus’ was 0, highest average fruits of grafting were 3 fruits and 66 grams for average plant yield. Non of fruit was hot for grafting sweet pepper fruit which evaluated by tasting for 33 plants.
Advantages of grafting sweet pepper on disease tolerance hot pepper were high survival ratio, mature early, heat tolerance, heat tolerance, high yield and no hot flavor. Broad mite controlled by predator (Neoseiulus cucumeris) or fumigation of sulfur in some countries. Blossom-end rot of sweet pepper could be improved by choosing cultivar and adjusting nutrition of solution .
