播種期及栽培密度對北部地區薏苡生育及產量之影響

Abstract

以薏苡台中3 號及台中育4 號為材料於台灣北部地區進行春、秋作栽培適期及行株距試驗以評估對植株生育及產量之影響。6 個栽培時期試驗的產量以2 月播種者最高，薏苡旱田直播方式栽培不宜密植，會造成每株平均分蘗數減少而使籽實產量下降，整體而言，在北部地區春作為較為適合的栽培時期，且以2 月份播種有較佳的產量表現，適當行株距為60×20 cm 或60×30 cm。 A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of planting date and plant spacing on the growth and yield of Job’s tears (Coxi lacryma-jobi L.) ‘Taichung No. 3’and‘Taichung Sel. No. 4’ in spring and fall cropping seasons at Northern Taiwan. In all planting date treatment the average yield of the February 6 was greater than that of other treatment. Under dryland cultivated conditions, there was no significant yield advantage to be obtained in higher planting space. The higher planting space resulted in significantly lower yield, fertile tillers per plant owing to more competitive effect. From the results suggest that the optimum sowing date of Job’s tears is spring season in February while planting space is 60×20 cm or 60×30 cm.
