Abstract: 
感染瓜類(Cucurbitaceae)之病毒至少有五種以上,其中以夏南瓜黃化嵌紋病毒(Zucchini yellow mosaic virus, ZYMV)為最主要,而木瓜輪點病毒西瓜系統(Papaya ringspot virus watermelon strain, PRV-W)為次要。目前除胡瓜已有對ZYMV具有抗性或耐性之品種外,西瓜、洋香瓜、南瓜等尚未有抗病的品種育成。
Field tests of cross-protection effectiveness of a mild mutant of ZYMV(ZYMY-WK) were conducted in melon and watermelon in Taiwan from 1992 to 1994. In 1992 the field test was conducted in Fengshan Tropical Horticultural Experiment Station in Taiwan.
