黑皮系統大胡瓜132品系及183品系在本省主要胡瓜栽培地區試種,結果新品系之總產量及早產量均較商業對照品種爲佳,抗病性方面(露菌病和毒素病)、果皮色澤、甜度和硬度,新品系均較對照品種為優。本省栽培之胡瓜品種均不抗矮南瓜黄化嵌紋病毒(ZYMV),胡瓜對ZYMV之抗病性係受一對隱性因子所控制,利用雜交及回交育種,將抗ZYMV之抗病因子轉移到本省栽培品種中。對露菌病及白粉病之抗病性篩選也同時進行。
Two new cucumber lines, No. 132 and No. 183 were evaluated in main production area in 1990. Results showed that both No. 132 and No. 183 lines had higher total yield, early yield, and better diseases resistance to downy mildew and viruses, more appealing color and better flavor than commercial varieties. Most of the cucumber commercial varieties were susceptible to zucchini yellow mosaic virus (ZYMV), and the resistance to ZYMV were controlled by a single reccessive gene, therefore, a program for transfering the resistance gene to the commercial or local varieties was conducted by both hybrid and backcross breeding method. Screening cucumbers resistance to downy mildew and powder mildew were also in process.
