THE LONG-TERM STORAGE OF CITRUS FRUITS WITH SHROUDED PACKAGING BY EVA STRETCHING FILMS

Abstract

Fruits of "Ponkan" (Citrus recticulata) and "Liucheng" (Citrus sinensis) were tested fo shrouded packaging with EVA stretching film and fumigation with Mertect and 2-aminobutane in shrouded packaging druing 1981~1983 for long-term storage. In shrouded packaging test, rate of decay either in "ponkan" or in" Liucheng" was as high as 20~27% after 3-month storage due to 1~2 weeks overmaturely harvesting. 為改進目前本省柑桔以逐果套袋貯藏其成本漸高之缺點，試以椪柑及柳丁置於貯果塑膠籃內成柱形疊起，外裏以EVA伸縮膜行柱狀伸縮包裝貯藏。經二年試驗結果發現果實採收成熟度影響其貯藏力極大，果實經三個月貯藏後，較正常採收期延後1~2星期採收之果實導致20~27%之腐爛而早收一星期者僅2~10%之腐爛。
