Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of using somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) technique for producting the clone transgenic bovine. Through the international cooperation between Professors Jerry Yang at University of Connecticut (UCONN) and Winston T. K. Cheng at National Taiwan University (NTU), the enucleation rate and fusion rate of nuclear transferred (NT) embryos were 89% (1170/1311) and 88% (938/1064), respectively.
